Al Hilal High-density Polyethylene (HDPE) Pipes Industry

Following up on our policy to meet local demand in plastic products for civil and construction sector, Al Hilal Group started a new plant to produce HDPE pipes.  Production started on October 2014, with production capacity of 300 ton / month. HDPE pipes is known for its large strength to density ratio. The density of high-density polyethylene is about 0.958 g/cm.  Although the density of HDPE is only 3, marginally higher than that of, HDPE has stronger and low-density polyethylene intermolecular forces than LDPE. The difference in strength exceeds the difference in density, giving HDPE a tensile strength higher.  It is also harder and can withstand higher temperatures (120 °C/ 248 °F for specific short periods, 110 °C /230 °F continuously).
